Gall Contents Hyperkey Introduction
This hypertext key can be used to help identify most of the
common insects found in Goldenrod Ball Galls. To use the key, simply click on
the left-hand number which corresponds with most correct description (you
may also click on the description). Follow the hyperlinks from page to page until
you reach an endpoint, which should be the name of the insect found within the
gall. In the event that you find an empty gall, the key will help determine
what happened to the fly larva. Once you have identified the contents of
the gall (or the animal that killed the fly larva), you can get more information
on that animal by clicking on it's name.
