PICTURES FROM AROUND THE DIAMOND

After the Bison picked up win number 30, Coach Depew took a little nap before the second game of the double-header (left). It is yet to be determined if Ben Sauers (right) was poking fun at coach or trying to get some Mifflinburg magic to rub off on himself (they both come from that booming metropolis).

After practice one afternoon, the Bucknell Baseball Team treated a Lewisburg little league team to a mini-clinic. Afterwards, Coach Depew (right) lectured the team on how they could improve.

The Bison lost one of its biggest and best senior classes ever in 1998. Guys like Jolten Joe d'Orazio (left), The Wiley Mike Tomko(center) , and "The Artist Formerly Known As" Ken Corcoran (right) made great contributions not only on the field, but off it.

Mike McCarthy, Eric Junge, and Tyler Prout hang around Mike Anders in hope his success will rub off on them. Mike finished his career as one of the best in Bucknell history. At an end of the year get-together, Ken Corcoran and Ed Soley (top) do their George Castanza seductive poses (from the Seinfield poster above them) while Frank Fresconi and Ben Sauers celebrate their second table-dice win in a row.

Fresconi gets a kick out of Anders immitation of John Dibonaventura sleeping (left) while the infamous Chris Herron argues with Mike Ritz (right) about the best way Bill Clinton can reduce taxes and not hurt the country in the long run (not really)

Pat Cann hopes to follow his older brother's (Pete) footsteps and catch for the Bison in the next few years.

Willie Depew and Mike Tomko were inseperable on many roadtrips in the past three years. Here Willie and Mike chill on the way to Navy.

Attempting to use voodoo magic, Chris Herron created a replica of Lafayette's field next to the dugout and blew in from center field when Lafayette batted. He claimed it would keep them from hitting homeruns. Then on the bus ride to Army, Chris used "thumb magic" to take the pop out of Army's bats. It is yet to be determined if his magic works.

Besides the games, the busride can be one of the best parts of a roadtrip. Last week Russell Lindberg (below, right) played "Puff The Magic Dragon" on the guitar while Joe D'Orazio and others sang along.

Coach Brian Hoyt is a man of many faces. Usually he is a lovable guy everybody wants to be around (top) . However, when he gets into a bad mood, he takes out his frustrations by making players rake the field (left)
