The following are some questions to think about while reading. It may help you participate in our discussion if you write out some notes or answers to these questions. I will only collect them in the case that not enough people participate in our discussion.

IP PRESENTATION QUESTIONS

1. What constitutes intellectual property?
2. Is copyright law still compatible with its original intent?
3. Do you think this extension of copyright was for the benefit of the
consumer or business?
4. Is software a new idea or an expression of an idea?
5. How does piracy fit into our theories of social contract,
rule-utilitarianism, and act-utilitarianism?
6. What would be some problems in creating and enforcing international
intellectual property laws?
7. Does the Digital Millennium Copyright Act encourage or stifle innovation
and technological progress?
