Course description:

German 102 is a course in which students continue to develop the ability to understand spoken and written language, to communicate their thoughts and ideas in German in both speaking and writing, and to get to know and understand culture of the German speaking countries. In this course we will take advantage of the newest technology available for foreign language teaching. We will work with computer programs, watch videos, and 'travel' to Germany via the Internet. For those of you interested in on-line learning, you can access internet exercises here.

The course meets every day of the week, and regular attendance is essential! Our classroom is located in the Multimedia Lab in the Library, Lower Level One. On Thursdays you will meet with the German language assistant, Silke Reinhard, for intensive speaking practice.

Class participation is essential. Every two classes missed will result in a lowering of the final grade by 0.5 grade.
