CONFERENCE SITE
The conference will be held at Holmenkollen Hotel, Oslo. The hotel has a tranquil location on the edge of beautiful countryside. Parts of the hotel date to 1894. Many rooms have a unique view of the city and the Oslo fjord. Walking trails can be found just outside the hotel doors and bicycles are available for hire. The hotel also has a new fitness centre and spa.

IAFFE
The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE), founded in 1992 is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting research and action economic issues of concern to women, children and men worldwide. IAFFE has members in over 30 countries. While the majority of IAFFE's members are economists, the group also includes scholars in other disciplines, students, activists, and policy makers.
NOVA
NOVA is a research institute under the auspices of the Norwegian Ministry of Education, Research and Church Affairs. The Institute's aim is to conduct research and development with a view to promoting knowledge of social condition and processes of change. It focuses on life-course, level-of-living and life-quality issues, as well as on the programmes and services provided by the welfare society.
University of Oslo
The Department of Economics, University of Oslo, teaches at all academic levels as well as research in economics. It is greatly indebted for its proud history to its Nobel laureates Ragnat Frisch and Trygve Haavelno. The Department has an academic staff of 36 whose interests cover most major fields in economics. There are also staff members working in the fields of mathematics, statistics, and demography.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The IAFFE conference in Oslo-2001 Conference aims to bring together new and innovative insights from various disciplines to contribute to the development of feminist approaches to economics. We hope to breakdown the traditional disciplinary barriers in order to understand the economic interrelations and structures that constitute and change the lives of men and women.

The conference should provide excellent opportunities to present, share and discuss new insights with colleagues within and beyond the economic discipline and with activists and policy makers from all over the world.

The conference will especially focus on issues pertaining to:

While papers on any topic will be considered, the submission of papers with an international awareness, including those which explore the connections between first world/third world issues, are also especially welcome.

Part II. REGISTRATION

Registrtation fee before April 15, 2001 (After April 15, 2001 add a $50. late fee)

IAFFE Members: $210. Nonmembers: $260. Students: $150.
