GEOL 106 - Spring 2009

After the first test:
Some students are taken aback at their grade after receiving the first test. My philosophy is to make the tests challenging so they are good discriminators. Some of you did well and probably don't need to see me. Others are in the middle ground and will also want to see me. Those who made grades below 70 definitely should schedule a time to see me.

The distribution of anticipated grades below is on a 10-point scale, 90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, etc. The writing and lab grades will pull most people's grades up.
