This strip pond will be used as a final settling pond; it is up to 15 feet deep. The final effluent will exit to Carbon Run near the people on the right side of the picture.

This photo was taken atfer the discharge and Carbon Run were temporarily diverted into the strip pond. Although the treatment system is not complete, the pond has turned orange, and some treatment is already taking place.
