Rainbow's end brings hopes and dreams
Never quite attainable or so it seems
My journeys toward that end seem to go astray
I give my heart and soul only to have them go away
I know that if I let go of the cautions in my mind
That when I do reach rainbow's end it may be you I would find
My tattered soul shivers at yet the fear
That you may not wish me near
Dream I do for there is precious little I can do for my soul
It goes where it wants to you and I have little control
With each rainbow goes yet one more wistful desire
To share with the soul who sets my heart on fire
