Web-Oriented Sources Dealing With MATLAB
The following is a partial listing of places you can go to that provide a
wealth of help information on MATLAB programming and use in science and
engineering.
- The "source":
The Mathworks. The company that makes MATLAB has a wide range
of information, technical notes and resources. There is a "MATLAB in
Education" area that may be of interest. The link to the
"Homework Helper" may or may not be useful to you but you do get
to see pictures of happy students whose lives have been changed once
they started using MATLAB.
- The newsgroup comp.soft-sys.matlab is on on-line forum
dedicated to using and improving MATLAB. Ask (serious) questions
there and you will usually get fast, complete and accuracte answers. You
can read this newgroups through many places (Google News is a good one) and
the Mathworks has been good enough to provide a simple
web-based reader for following the group.
- There are any number of sites (somewhat like this one) that purport
let you know how to use MATLAB either in a tutorial fashion or in
some specific, problem-oriented fashion (e.g., signal processing,
optimization, etc.). Try a Google (or whatever search engine you prefer)
search with "MATLAB" and "tutorial" or "MATLAB" and "topic". There
are lots of people who use MATLAB for education and for their professional
life.
