Sensors/Time
Constants - Lab Notes/Summary
This lab involves measuring the responses of 3 temperature sensors for
both rising and falling temperatures.
-
Here are the links to
the actual lab sheets.
-
Here are links to basic
information about the sensors
-
Here are links to LabVIEW
programs to do the measurements.
-
NTempsHydra.vi
- to measure temperature from the Hydra.
-
NVoltsHydra.vi
- to measure voltage from the Hydra.
-
ResetHydra.vi
- A "sub-vi" you need to reset the Hydra.
-
1Temp.vi
- A sub-vi that will take one temperature measurement on the Hydra.
-
1VoltHydra.vi
- A sub-vi that will take one voltage measurement on the Hydra.
-
At the conclusion of the
lab, each student should have an electronic copy of the six (6) data sets.
-
After the lab, students
should hand in analyses of the data, determining the time constants (both
up and down) for the six data sets.
-
Data sets should be analyzed
using as many of the analytical methods as possible.
-
Discrepancies in results
- especially differences between time constants for rising and falling
data - need to be explained.
-
As a hand-in homework
problem do what is requested in the problem
for Dr. Abner Mallity.
