Bode Plot Problems

     These problems are designed to help you to understand Bode' plots better.  You may have a mathematical analysis program available (e. g. Mathcad, Matlab, Mathematica, Maple, etc.).  You may use an analysis program unless the problem statement asks you not to do so.

Problem 1

      Here the task is to generate a Bode' plot for the given transfer functions.  In every case, do the following:

        When you sketch the Bode' plot for G3(s), be sure you understand whether this is actually G1(s) or G2(s).

Problem 2

vSketch the Bode' plot before you use a program
        to generate the plots.  Make sure that your sketches
        include the following:

vThe phase plot, including the asymptotes,
vCorner frequencies,
vResonant peaks,
vEstimates of slopes for any long/straight segments,
vDC gain values.
