Manual
Control Of A First Order System
In this simulator, you function as the controller. Here is the vital
information.
-
The desired output is
2.0
-
The system starts with
an output of 0.
-
You control the input
to the system.
-
The input starts at 0.
-
You can increase or decrease
the input to the system using the up arrow and down arrow keys.
-
To operate the simulator,
-
Click the start button.
-
Control the input with
the arrow keys.
-
The integral
of the square of the error (ISE) is estimated, and a score is computed
based on the integral of the square of the error at the end of the run.
-
Some hints
-
The error is large at
the beginning, so you need to get the error small quickly.
-
If you make the control
effort too large, the system can overshoot, and that will increase the
integral square error.
-
Good Luck!
