AC
Circuit Problem - 4 - Notes on the Problem - 1A - Steps to a Solution
Circuit4P04
You need to analyze this circuit (below).

-
Steps to a solution include
the following:
-
First, figure out what
you want. Ask yourself "What would a solution look like?"
-
After you visualize the
solution, you should realize that part of the solution will be to determine
the frequency response function (i.e. Vo/Vin).
-
That frequency response
function will be a function of frequency, so you are probably going to
need to use impedance.
-
You are going to need
a strategy to write the equations to solve.
-
You are going to need
a strategy to solve the equations that result. And, as a word of
caution, they are not that complex, and you will probably lose some insight
that you might gain if you use your calculator to solve them. (Your
instructor has an educational goal here that you need to consider.
In later courses you will need to be able to use simultaneous equation
solutions - and you will probably need to know something about matrix and
determinant representations at that point. So, try to do this one
without calculators.)
