Shown below is the output of a half-wave rectifier. The signal is
a half-wave rectified sine wave.

If this rectified sine
wave is the input to a filter (where you are trying to extract the DC signal
in the rectified sine wave) the following information will be important.

The DC level in the signal.

The harmonic content of
the signal.
Determine those quantities
by doing the following.

Find the DC component,
i.e. ao.

Find the expression for
the harmonic components, i.e. an and bn,
for all values of n.

Determine the RMS components
as a function of frequency.
