Formats
When writing data to a file, there are three basic operations that you
have to take care of in your program. And, it doesn't matter if
the
program is in C/C++, Visual Basic, or LabVIEW - or anything else.
Here are the operations.

Before you can write data into a file, you
have to
create a
file
(if the file you want does not exist) and you have to open
the file so you can write data into it.

After the file is open, you write
data into the file. When you do that
you need to specify the format for
the
data.

When you are finished writing data, you
should close
the file.
