Lindsey Trusal (class of 2020)

My name's Lindsey, and I'm from Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. I'm a first-year pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Biology on a Pre-Health track, and a minor in Classics and Mediterranean Studies.

I am a member of Dr. Takahashi's lab because I grew up in central PA wading through creeks catching tadpoles, salamanders, etc., and I have the opportunity to continue this through field work and apply this to research in a laboratory setting. The project that I am currently working on is determining paternal records of salamanders using the techniques of DNA isolation and PCR. After graduation, I hope to attend medical school or graduate school to either become a doctor or to continue with research.

I love being outdoors doing anything from kayaking to hiking, and I am also a member of the club field hockey team here at Bucknell.
