Project Two | |
| The goal of this project is to acquaint the student with available textbooks, in the learning process, and what makes for a "good" biology textbook. |
1) You will collectively examine the available textbook selection (you will be advised as to its location).
2) Using the bibliography provided on the [Project Two Resource Page], construct a written list of the major issues to be considered in the selection and use of textbooks. For each issue cited, write a well-developed paragraph in which the nature of the issue is clarified. Towards the end of the paragraph, indicate in writing the importance that members of your group place on that issue. When you construct your list of issues, rank them in order of importance, as perceived by members of your group.
3) Each group should recommend at least two references concerning textbook issues that you think should be added to the existing bibliography. Likewise, suggest for removal from the list any articles that you found to be a waste of time.
