We used the rig to test the common sprocket derailleur transmission and the new Powershift transmission. We varied the pedaling speeds and the resistance. We shifted every 2 or 3 seconds sequentially up and down through the speeds and jumped through different patterns of speeds such as 2 to 5 on the front and 1 to 3 on the back. We synchronized all of the testing with video to capture mis-shifts, noise and other occurrences.

We will soon publish the results of our tests of the sprocket and derailleur. The results of the testing for the new Powershift transmission are still proprietary. The company used the results of our tests to develop a new prototype.
