We use developed solid models in ProEngineer to refine the design and ensure that the components would move as desired without interferences. The jaw and facial structures were then fabricated using a rapid prototype machine. The RPM allowed us to easily incorporate features that would have been much more difficult with conventional machining. We could also easily modify the parts to refine the design.
