WORK

I am a Research Services Specialist for Science and Engineering Resources at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. Library and Information Technology includes the Bertrand Library and Information Commons, Computer Services, the Reference Desk and the Technology Desk. The Library and Information Technology Home Page features our Online Catalog, Research Tools, Computing and Technology Resources, and other services. If you can't find what you are looking for, you can ASK.
What Can a Librarian Do For You? My job description and areas of expertise. Other work-related activities, including information on the Bertrand Library Disaster Response Team and Bucknell student clubs I advise.

THE FUN STUFF

Fight Klub. This link is an invitation to explore Fight Klub, the latest trading card game from Decipher, Inc. You build your deck based on a character from a hollywood movie; Rambo, Hannibal Lecter, Tank Girl, Ash from Army of Darkness, and other cult classics, with supporting cards. And then they fight . . . Tell them Rock sent you.
I've begun to take an "academic interest" in Japanese anime. I'm also happy to be the advisor for a very active Bucknell University Anime Society. Here are my thoughts on building an academic library collection of anime.
After a 10 year hiatus, I've taken up the Irish uilleann pipes again. I'm playing a full set made by Seth Gallagher. Fans of Irish dance music beware; photos and sound files included!
Fluorescent Minerals. The latest obsession is fluorescent minerals from Franklin, NJ and the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg. I grew up just a few miles away, and now regret the many missed opportunities to collect these wonderful rocks! Better late than never . . .
My Star Wars Page. Since military history and science fiction are two of my leisure-time interests, my favorite movies are the original Star Wars trilogy. My Star Wars page includes my favorite links, images, and card collecting information.
Antique Board and Card Games. My wife collects 'em, and the whole family plays. No plug, no buttons, no TV screen. View some neat old games, and find out about the Association of Game and Puzzle Collectors.
